Cat Tree Fractal Sunfade Hoodie

A cat whose ears grow cats.

Start with a cat's head. On each ear, place a smaller copy of the whole drawing, at a little over half the size. Do it again on their ears, and again, five generations deep, until the branches thin out into twigs. A self-similar fractal, and a literal cat tree.

The design

Printed across the back in cream, forest-green, sage and rust ink: the cat head is outlined in cream and its branching copies in green, sage and rust, with rust eyes. Above it the Nekomori wordmark and Field Equations / No.08 Cat Tree; below, 猫森 and the equation itself: C = H ∪ f₁(C) ∪ f₂(C),   f_i scales by 0.55. A small version of the drawing sits on the left chest.

The fit

Oversized and loose, with a dropped shoulder and a kangaroo pocket. Take your usual size for the intended slouch, or size down for a closer fit. Heavy, all-cotton, soft on the inside.

• Pattern: A cat head branching into smaller cat heads, five generations deep, printed large on the back; small matching print on the left chest.
• Material: 400 gsm 100% cotton with a sunfade wash.

• Machine wash at 30°C / 86°F, gentle cycle, inside out
