One line. It never lifts.
A Hilbert curve is a single line that folds back on itself until it fills a square without ever crossing. Seven generations deep, it passes through every part of the circle on the back. Where it runs through the cat it is drawn thick in green; everywhere else it is a hairline. So the cat is one continuous stroke, from the tip of an ear to the end of the tail.
The design
A fine sage-grey hairline, the cat traced in forest green, and rust eyes, across the back. Above it the Nekomori wordmark and Field Equations / No.07 One Line; below, 猫森 and the equation itself: A → +BF−AFA−FB+ B → −AF+BFB+FA− n = 7. A small version of the drawing sits on the right chest, beside the zip.
The fit
Boxy and loose, with a dropped shoulder and a two-way zip, so it opens from the top or the hem. Take your usual size for the relaxed shape, or size down for a closer fit.
The blank
- 355 g/m² (10.5 oz) fleece
- 42% cotton, 53% polyester, 5% other fibres
- Boxy cut, drop shoulder, two-way zip, sunfade wash
- Sizes S–2XL
- Printed with DTF (direct-to-film) transfer
The sunfade finish varies from piece to piece, so the fading on yours will differ a little from the photos.
Color, Pattern & Material
-
Color: Dark Green or Black, with cream, sage, forest-green and rust artwork.
-
Pattern: A single Hilbert curve filling a circle, thick where it draws the cat, printed large on the back; small matching print on the right chest.
-
Material: 355 gsm cotton-polyester fleece with a sunfade wash.
Field Equations is Nekomori's series of cats drawn by mathematics instead of by hand: each design is a single equation, rendered, then left alone. It continues from Quiet Forms: Field Note 01.
Printed for your order in the USA — nothing is held in stock. Artwork original to Nekomori, generated from the equation printed beneath it.
Care
- Machine wash at 30°C / 86°F, gentle cycle, inside out
- Do not bleach
- Tumble dry low
- Iron at low temperature, never directly on the print
- Do not dry clean
